The 5 Laziest “Activities” College Students will partake in over Thanksgiving Break
You just survived your first semester and Thanksgiving break couldn’t come sooner. To unwind we share our list of the top 5 laziest “activities” that we bet you will be doing over the break. So break out those sweatpants and enjoy.
1. Watching an entire season of your favorite Netflix series in one sitting
Whether it’s Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, or New Girl no show is safe from the upcoming barrage of college students with too much free time on their hands. Just one episode before studying can quickly turn into two, three, four and finally “I’ll study tomorrow.” We’ll be lucky if Netflix’s servers can survive the week.
2. Making the ultimate Thanksgiving leftover sandwich
Everyone knows that cranberry sauce goes with everything; so assembling a gigantic leftovers sandwich is a no-brainer. If you can’t figure out how to stack mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, and gravy between two unfortunately-small dinner rolls, just throw everything in a bowl and call it a sandwich anyway.
3. Rolling up into a blanket burrito
Thanksgiving signals the approach of winter, and there’s no better way to stay warm than laying on top of a blanket, grabbing a corner, and rolling over until you’re insulated by 3 layers at every angle. Sure, mobility might be an issue, but you’re not taking 3 days off of school to be active.
4. Wearing the same pair of sweatpants for the entire break
No one wants to spend their lounging time in a pair of skinny jeans, and going nude inside the blanket burrito is not an option (getting up to use the bathroom becomes that much more daunting). Besides, it’s not like the pants will be dirty. No one is exercising.
5. Ignore an invitation to a non-Thanksgiving dinner Family activity
Any question starting with “How about you come with…” will be interrupted by a firm “no.” Nothing can stand in the way of the blanket-balled, sandwich-fuelled, Orange Is the New Black marathon on tap for the day.
If you do find yourself out of Netflix episodes to watch and could use some mental stimulation, we encourage you to sign up to tackle a MindSumo Challenge. You could win some extra cash for Christmas shopping and get a head start on your job recruiting that you know you will procrastinate on later.
